Every comprehensive eye exam at our Nashville office includes a full evaluation — not just a quick prescription check. Dr. Lipe takes time to thoroughly assess each component of your vision and eye health before walking you through your results.
Most appointments take about 30 minutes. New patients and contact lens fittings may require a bit more time.
Frequency
We recommend a comprehensive eye exam once a year for most adults. Annual exams let us catch early changes in your prescription and detect conditions like glaucoma and macular degeneration before they cause permanent damage.
If you wear contact lenses, a yearly exam is required to keep your prescription current. Children and patients with conditions like diabetes or glaucoma risk factors may need more frequent visits — Dr. Lipe will advise based on your individual situation.
Your Visit
When you come in for an eye exam at Elite Eyecare, you can expect a thorough, unhurried visit.
We'll review your health history and any current vision concerns so Dr. Lipe can tailor your exam to your needs.
Dr. Lipe will test your visual acuity and perform a refraction to fine-tune your prescription for glasses or contacts.
Your eye pressure will be checked for glaucoma screening. Dr. Lipe will examine your retina and optic nerve using specialized equipment.
We'll go over your results with you before you leave and answer any questions about your prescription, eye health, or treatment options.
